Splish splash! 💦 It’s a pool party! Together we will have a splash’n time by exploring different ways to play with water.

This week's Little Learners class is based on the book Pool Party by Amy Duchere. 📚 Each child will enjoy this 90-minute session inspired by themes throughout the book, and receive a copy of the book to take home. 


We have two options for class times: Monday @ 10am or Tuesday at 8:30am. Select the time that works best for you below! 👇

    What Is Little Learners?

    Little Learners classes are 90-minute play-based sessions that are taught by local educators.

    Through engaging activities inspired by beloved books, we'll ignite their imagination and curiosity, fostering a love for learning.

    From sensory adventures to artistic expression and imaginative play, each experience will spark joy and wonder in our tiny adventurers. Join us as we embark on a journey where every page turned is a new opportunity for growth and discovery.

    Dates

    Little Learners classes are a part of our Summer Series, which is a summer education program that takes place at the Little Village Play Cafe from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

    Little Learners are offered twice a week throughout the summer.

    • Mondays from 10:00am - 11:30am
    • Tuesdays from 8:30am - 10am

    What's Included

    Each class includes...

    • One hour instructor-led class
    • 30 minutes of pop-up play
    • a copy of the read aloud book
    • a take-home art project or activity
    • cookie + milk box

    Our Little Learners classes offer an enchanting space for toddlers and preschoolers (age 1-5), brimming with opportunities to explore and discover.

    Our Approach

    Our approach to learning is simple - kids learn through play. Our educators are well-versed in creating meaningful experiences that enhance the love of learning. 

    We do this by implementing sensory experiences, integrating movement with exploration, and creating a shared sense of wonder. 

    We want to provide you and your kids opportunities for those "a-ha" moments through play-based learning experiences.

    How many children per class?

    Each class size is 25 children, plus 1 caregiver per child.

    Who is teaching the Summer Series classes?

    Our Summer Series classes are created and taught by an incredibly talented bunch of local educators and parents. Read their bios!

    Can I drop my child off?

    No, this class is intended for caregivers to participate alongside their child.

    Do I need to bring anything?

    Nope! Just bring your kiddo (& their socks. 😉) We'll take care of the rest.

    Are classes purchased individually or in a set?

    Classes are purchased individually. Feel free to join us for as many classes as you'd like! If you purchase 3 classes, your 4th class is free. 🥳

    Can siblings join?

    Yes! We're excited to share that this year's Summer Series classes are designed to challenge both toddlers and preschoolers ages 1-5 years old.

    We offer a $7 discount for siblings. Please use code "SIBLING" at checkout to automatically apply the $7 discount.

    Babies under 1 year old are free to join when accompanying an older child. One adult per child is included in the cost of the ticket.
