what are the age groups for classes?

Our summer programs are designed for birth - 13 years old. Each camp and class is designed with age-appropriate activities so every child feels engaged and supported.

Are you open to the public during classes?

Our cafe and gift shop will be open to the public. The play space will exclusively used for Summer Series classes and closed to the public on Mondays & Tueesdays.

Do we need to sign up for the whole summer?

Not at all! Families can register for individual camps, multiple sessions, or participate in programs throughout the summer depending on their schedule. For many camps, we offer a discounted rate when you sign up for several sessions.

What should my child wear to camp?

We recommend comfortable clothes that can get a little messy. Creativity can be colorful, and we want campers to explore freely without worrying about spills or paint. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for activities. Since our play space requires socks for both children and adults, please be sure your child comes wearing socks or brings a pair to change into.

Do campers need to bring anything?

Most camps include all materials and supplies. We recommend sending your child with a labeled water bottle, comfortable clothing, socks and shoes. Please note, no outside food or beverage is permitted.

Are snacks or meals provided?

All camps include snacks or lunch. Please notify us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when registering. No outside food or beverage is permitted.

What if my child has never done something like this before?

That’s completely okay! Our camps are designed to be welcoming and accessible to children of all experience levels. Whether your child is naturally outgoing or a little shy at first, our team helps every camper feel comfortable and included.

CAN I DROP MY CHILD OFF?

It depends!

Baby & toddler classes require caregiver participation.

Curiosity Crew for ages 3-4 is a class where parent involvement is required and FUN.

Story Sprouts: intended for incoming K4-1st graders is a drop off class. However, while your kiddos are in the class you can always hang in the cafe, sip a coffee, read a book, pop open your laptop and work, meet a friend or just relax!

Care Co. Babysitter Academy for incoming Grades: 5th - 8th is also a drop off class.

Please note that our play space will not be available for open play during camp and class times, so all children attending will need to be registered participants.

Can siblings attend together?

Yes! Siblings are welcome to register for camps as long as they are within the appropriate age range for the program. Depending on their ages, they may be placed in different groups so activities remain developmentally appropriate.

Please note that our play space will not be available for open play during camp and class times, so all children attending will need to be registered participants.

Can we pack snacks or drinks?

No, outside food & beverages are not permitted. We have a complete menu with snacks, meals, and beverages for children & adults.

What happens if we miss a day of camp?

We understand that plans change. While we are unable to offer refunds for missed days, we will do our best to send home any projects or materials your child missed when possible.

What if my child is nervous about drop-off?

This is very common, especially for younger campers. Our team is experienced in helping children transition comfortably into camp. A short, confident goodbye usually helps the most. In most cases, campers settle in quickly once they begin exploring and connecting with friends.

What safety measures are in place?

Your child’s safety is always our priority. Our camps maintain small group sizes and are led by trained staff. We follow health and safety guidelines and ensure children are supervised at all times. Emergency contact information is required during registration.

What if my child has allergies or medical needs?

Please include any allergies, medical conditions, or special considerations during registration. This allows our team to prepare and ensure your child’s safety and comfort during camp.

What if someone else needs to pick up my child?

Children will only be released to authorized adults listed on the registration form. If someone new will be picking up your child, please notify us in advance.

How do we register for camps or programs?

Registration can be completed online at www.thelittlevillageplaycafe.com

Can I purchase food or drinks during classes?

Absolutely! In fact, we really appreciate it when you purchase a coffee, snack, or lunch from our cafe.

Supporting our small business means a lot to our team and helps us continue creating programs and community experiences like this. Our café and play space are always open if you’d like to relax, get a little work done, or connect with other parents during camp.
