I just wanted to give you a quick update on our Honeycomb Investment Round because it’s been such a wild and exciting ride! 🎢
So far, we’ve raised $60,850 from 25 amazing people who believe in what we’re building at Little Village Play Cafe. It’s been so incredible to see this come together.
Some fun factoids about who’s investing:
- The highest investment so far has been $20,000. The story behind this investor is truly special. They are someone who’s very near and dear to Little Village — someone who’s been with us through thick and thin. They’ve seen our best days and our hardest days, and for them to invest in us like this is beyond humbling. 🥹 I’m so grateful, and I hope to share more about them and why they chose to invest soon.
- The smallest investment? $100. And honestly, these hundred-dollar heroes are just as amazing. Every single contribution matters so much. 👏
- 16 of our 25 investors are from right here in Wisconsin, which makes my heart swell with pride. And we’ve even got 9 investors from out of state—how cool is that? These are just people who believe in our concept and would like to see more spaces like ours across the country. 🏡
- The furthest investor lives over 1,200 miles away. ✈️ The closest investor lives less than 500 feet away.
- We’re so close to hitting our goal of $100,000… but we’re not quite there yet. 🌿 The funds raised will help us bring on some much-needed management staff (so I can focus on the big picture, and spend time with my family), develop systems, and get us ready to grow into a franchise.
- The dream is to… create a blueprint so others can build Little Villages in their own neighborhoods. ☀️
