A Grand Slam Day: Unveiling the Brewers "Field of Play" Mural by Whitney Nettles

Wow. Just wow. Like, a triple wowww.

Yesterday’s mural unveiling was nothing short of a grand slam! I’m still trying to wrap my head around all the excitement, pride in our community, and pure awe for Whitney’s stunning artwork. And let’s not forget the Brewers, who really knocked it out of the park with their generosity and support.

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for the big reveal. It was so special to see so many familiar faces in the crowd, cheering us on!

A special shoutout to Brewers President Rick Schlesinger, Brewers Pitcher Bryan Hudson, and Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride for stepping up to the plate and joining us to unveil this masterpiece. Your presence made the day even more memorable!

If you haven’t had a chance to swing by yet, don’t worry—the mural isn’t going anywhere. Stop by anytime to marvel at this masterpiece, snap some pics with the Racing Sausages and our beloved giraffe, and soak in all the empowering vibes.

And guess what? Our Pennant Project is still going strong this week! You’re invited to decorate a flag that’ll be part of a community art piece at The Barrel Yard at American Family Field. The final day to make your mark is Labor Day, Monday, September 7th—so don’t miss out on leaving your legacy!

We’re beyond thrilled that the mural has been getting so much love from local media—it’s been awesome to see it celebrated all over town!

A huge shoutout to the Milwaukee Brewers for sponsoring this incredible mural as part of their Beyond the Diamond community art initiative. This is their second mural in the series, and we’re honored to be a part of it.

And let’s give a standing ovation to our MVP artist, Whitney Nettles, for absolutely hitting this one out of the park! Whitney is a local gem with a seriously impressive portfolio here in Milwaukee and beyond. Fun fact: Whitney and her lovely family are regulars at Little Village, and she’s also the genius behind our branding!

Come visit the mural and stay to play for a bit! You can reserve your playtime here
