We're Closed Tues + Wed for Floor Repairs (Fresh Floors Coming!)

Little Village will be closed Tuesday, October 6 & Wednesday, October 7 for flooring repairs. We reopen Thursday, October 8 at 8am. Monday classes are still on! Here's the whole (slightly bumpy) story.

A little flashback to last fall

If you've been with us for a while, you might remember September 30, 2025. A hose came loose on our coffee machine overnight & our café flooded. You all showed up in pajamas & duck boots with shop vacs, fans & dehumidifiers, and we will never, ever forget it.

Every inch of flooring had to be ripped out & replaced, and we were closed through October & into November while we rebuilt. (You can read that whole story here.)

And then... the floors failed. Again!

When we reopened, we really thought the hard part was behind us. Unfortunately, parts of the new flooring failed. 😩 We shared more about that here & here.

The good news? This week, we're finally fixing it. Hooray! 🎉

What this means for you

To get the repairs done right, we need to close the play space for two days. We're so sorry for the inconvenience, especially to anyone who had plans to come play this week. We know your routines matter & we don't take closing lightly.

Yes! Monday 10/5 classes are still on as scheduled. See you there.

Is this related to last year's flood?

Yes. After the flood, all of our flooring was replaced, but parts of it have since failed. The damage was so much worse than we had thought. This week's repairs fix those sections.
