Oh Milwaukee, we’ve been through a lot.
Between flooded streets, basements, and cars, so many of our neighbors have been hit hard. (oof) While we can’t fix the damage, we can create small moments of joy for those impacted by the storms... and man oh man... those moments matter more than ever right now.
Let's be the village:
We are gifting 3-packs of play passes to families impacted by the storms.
Here are 4 ways you can help:
- Purchase a $50 gift card for yourself (or to gift to someone you know) We’ll match your purchase by gifting a 3-pack of play passes for a family who could use a break.
- Purchase a $50 gift card for a stranger. We have a list of families in the area who have requested gift cards, resources & support. We will make sure your donated gift card is given to a local family in need. In addition to your gift card, we will also send a 3-pack of play passes to this family. If you'd like to include a note with your gift card, please include it in the "Special Instructions" box. (If you or someone you know has been impacted and would like to be added to our list, please fill out this quick form.)
- Add to our Play It Forward Gift Card. Some very generous community members have started a "Play It Forward" Gift Card at the cafe. Funds on the gift card are being used to purchase playtime, coffee & drinks for any families visiting the cafe who have been impacted by the floods. For every $50 in funds added to the gift card we will donate a 3-pack of play passes to a local family in need. (If you have been impacted by the floods and are visiting the cafe, please let the person checking you in know so that we can use funds from this card if they are still available.)
- Review our Flood Relief Donations & Resource Directory Spreadsheet: Our community is full of families who need help, AND others eager to give it. This shared spreadsheet connects those in need with those who can offer support. You’ll find donation requests, GoFundMe and Venmo links, meal trains, and more.
