Dinosaurs Class for Early Elementary

Kids will get a chance to explore the dinosaurs by feeling like a paleontologist. This will be a full hand-on experience to dig and dust our way into the Jurasic period!

In this class, we will focus on the following skills: 
  • Curiosity
  • Sensory Experience
  • Fine Motor Skills

    Timeline

    Each class will follow a similar timeline:

    • 1:00 - 1:10 p.m. - Movement Activity
    • 1:10 - 1:45 p.m. - Themed Sensory Activities
    • 1:45 - 2:00 p.m. - Storytime
    • 2:00 - 2:30 - Open Play
    • 2:30 - Smoothies To Go 🤗

    What's Included

    Each class includes...

    • 60-minute instructor-led class
    • 30 minutes of open play
    • a copy of the read aloud book
    • a take-home art project or activity
    • a smoothie to go 🤗

    Our Approach

    Our approach to learning is simple - kids learn through play. Our educators are well-versed in creating meaningful experiences that enhance the love of learning. We do this by implementing sensory experiences, integrating movement with exploration, and creating a shared sense of wonder. We want to provide you and your kids opportunities for those "a-ha" moments through play-based learning experiences.

    Appropriate Ages

    This class is built for early elementary children who are 6 & 7 years old. Our Summer Series also includes classes geared toward younger children and babies. You can explore them all here.

    How many children per class?

    Each class size is 15 children.

    Who is teaching the Summer Series classes?

    Our Summer Series classes are created and taught by an incredibly talented bunch of local educators and parents. Read their bios!

    Can I drop my child off?

    Caregivers must stay at the cafe, however the class is intended for children to participate independently. That means while your kiddos are in the class you can hang in the cafe, sip a coffee, read a book, pop open your laptop and work, meet a friend or just relax!

    Do I need to bring anything?

    Nope! Just bring your child. 🤗 We'll take care of the rest.

    Are classes purchased individually or in a set?

    Classes are purchased individually. Feel free to join us for as many classes as you'd like! Early Elementary classes are every Monday or Tuesday from 1 - 2:30 p.m.

    Can siblings join?

    This class is exclusively for children ages 6 & 7 years old. Siblings are welcome to hang out in the cafe during the class, but cannot join in the play space during class or open play. We understand this can be tricky. Our goal is to offer an option for siblings in the future! We also offer other events and open play where siblings are always welcome.
